Insured is watching his mother’s dog at his property while she is away. The mother does not live with the insured and is divorced from the father. Insured’s father and a step-sister visit the insured. While leaving the insured’s property the step-sister is bitten by the dog. Property is insured under AAIS Form FO3 policy. There are two different opinions as to who has liability. Does the son have sole liability for the bite incident, or does his mother share liability as owner of the dog?
